15 and 30 Hours Funded Childcare

Eligible working parents in England can access funded childcare from the term after their child turns 9 months old until they start school.
​
At our nursery, funded hours are offered on a term-time basis only.
​
Eligible families may receive:

15 funded hours per week for children aged 9 months and over
-
up to 30 funded hours per week for eligible working families
-
funding for up to 38 weeks per year during term time.
​
Who is Eligible?
​
You may be eligible if:
-
your child is aged between 9 months and 4 years old
-
you live in England
-
you (and your partner, if applicable) are working
-
each parent earns at least the equivalent of 16 hours per week at National Minimum or Living Wage
-
neither parent earns more than £100,000 adjusted net income per year.
Self-employed parents may also qualify.

When Can My Child Start?
​
Funding begins from the term after your child reaches the eligible age.
Term start dates are usually:

1 January – for children who become eligible between 1 September and 31 December
-
1 April – for children who become eligible between 1 January and 31 March
-
1 September – for children who become eligible between 1 April and 31 August.

Applying for Funding
​
Parents must apply through the government childcare service and obtain a valid childcare code before their child can access funded hours.
You will need to reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months to continue receiving funding.
We recommend applying well before the funding deadline to avoid delays.
