Thorney's Cosy Courtyard - in action

Despite the recent inclement weather, Thorney’s Cosy Courtyard has quickly become a much-loved addition to our nursery environment. The all-weather surface has proved to be an invaluable resource, allowing children to enjoy outdoor play whatever the conditions.

Children have been enthusiastically making the most of the space-running laps around the track before jumping on the trikes, bikes and scooters to ride around with confidence and excitement. The courtyard

has encouraged movement, coordination and plenty of laughter along the way.

The cosy wigwam and wooden house have created inviting areas where friendships flourish. These spaces have been used for imaginative play, quiet conversations and the creation of new games, offering children opportunities to socialise, collaborate and feel comfortable in their outdoor surroundings.

Thorney’s Cosy Courtyard has truly enhanced our outdoor provision, giving children the freedom to explore, play and learn in a safe, engaging environment all year round.
