Breakfast and After School Club

 

Thorney Island Nursery maintains a close partnership with Thorney Island Community Primary School, offering both breakfast and after school club services. As part of this service, nursery staff escort children to and from school, ensuring a safe and seamless transition.

 

Breakfast Club

Our breakfast club begins at 7:30am and includes a variety of food options such as hot and cold cereals, toast with a range of toppings, and other breakfast items. After eating, children can enjoy playtime, which may include activities like arts and crafts, Hama beads, quiet reading, or socialising with friends.

Before school starts, children put on high-visibility vests and are accompanied by staff to the school playground, where they are supervised until the school day begins.

 

After School Club

 

In the afternoon, nursery staff collect children from the school and accompany them back to the nursery. Once there, children can enjoy free play or choose from a range of engaging activities.

Flexible collection options are available: before tea, after tea, or at the end of the school day.

Please note there is no After-School club on Fridays.
