Works have started in the courtyard and we have all been very impressed on the speed and efficiency by the boys carrying out the work.

The children were all very excited, when the machinery made its arrival, staff had to make sure they were alternating the children they were holding up to the windows to observe.

There is something about heavy machinery that sends children absolutely wild, and our pre-school room were no exception to this.

The first things to be demolished were the ramp outside the door and then the covered area attaching the two buildings.

.

The aim of day two was to get the canopy posts set up and concreted into the floor and they have been working very hard again with this.

We are really looking forward to being able to update you further, especially when you will be able to see such a big change.

If you didn't catch the blog from last week, this is all being provided using the money from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust in which we were successful in our bid for funding to create Thorney's Cosy Courtyard.

We will check in again in a few days with some more info/updated pictures regarding this really exciting time at the nursery.
