Excitement Galore at Nursery as Our New Outdoor Area Opens!

There has been great excitement at nursery this week as we proudly opened our brand-new outdoor area for the children to enjoy. The new wooden play equipment has already become a huge favourite, offering endless opportunities for fun, challenge and development.

The children have loved exploring the different features, including climbing the steps, scaling the climbing wall, carefully crossing the rickety bridge and whizzing down the slide. Our trim trail has also been incredibly popular, helping to build balance, coordination and confidence. It has been wonderful to watch the children’s sense of achievement as they master each new challenge - their proud smiles say it all! At the same time, they are developing important physical and motor skills through active play.

Our vegetable garden has also burst into life this week. The recent rain has helped our broad beans and potatoes thrive, and the children have been delighted to harvest some radishes that were ready to pull and taste. Around the garden, beautiful flowers are now in bloom, filling the space with vibrant colour, while bees, butterflies and other insects have started to visit us too. It has created the perfect environment for the children to explore nature and learn about the world around them.

With the addition of Thorney’s Cosy Courtyard, alongside our exciting new play area and flourishing garden, we feel our nursery now offers children a truly rich and worthwhile outdoor experience - a place where they can play, learn, discover and grow every single day.
