King Charles III visits Thorney Island

We were incredibly honoured to welcome King Charles III to Thorney Island on Thursday 26th February. It was a truly proud and memorable occasion for our whole community.

His Majesty arrived by helicopter to a magnificent 21-gun salute, which our children were thrilled to watch and experience. The excitement was clear to see as they gathered for his walkabout, eagerly waving and smiling.

For some of our children, the day became even more special as they had the privilege of shaking his hand and exchanging a few words with him — a wonderful experience and a memory they will treasure for many years to come.
